haha Robbie!!!! I thought I was gonna get to hear you pronouce it lol And to find out it was just a picture lol ohhhw ell one day:Pwe might can hear ya talk :P
I pronounce it either "Christians" (if I'm assuming that those oddly arranged letters are supposed to refer to Christians, which would be the expected thing), or sometimes "Ex-eye-eeUHHNNNN-zzzzUH" with a slight nasal sound on the third syllable, and ending with a clicking sound similar to those tribal people you occasionally see on the Discovery Channel. Other times, I pronounce it "Affflaaaack."
I always assumed it was pronounced "Christians," but "Zions" occurred to me as well. Hadn't thought of "Zans," but that makes sense, too. I'm glad someone asked the question - and maybe the curiosity factor will publicity.
Hmmmm....I just came to the conclusion that the X was shorthand for Christ, so it was pronounced Christianzzzzzzzz........ :) I must admit to trying all kinds of combinations as I've looked at it though! What would Zans mean?
In the explanation about Xmas you refer to the X as representing Christ's name. You also mention that Xian has been used to abbreviate the word Christian. How is it that Xian can be short for Chritian but Xianz is pronounced "Zans in English". Adding a Z on the end of Xianz shouldn't change how the word is pronounced. I see the Z as a "hip" way of abbreviating the word Christianz which is a variation of the correct spelling, Christians. It seems you're giving contradictory pronunciations for essentially the same word.
Because of these contradictory definitions and pronunciations it makes we wonder if Robbie D is a real person or if "he" is an ID used by several people at Xianz. With the explanations you gave you're contradicting yourself more than a Mormon or Jehovah's Witness. (My apologies to our Mormon and Jehovah's Witness friends, but y'all do contradict yourselves a lot.)
Personally... i thought it was pronounced "ZY-anz"... although i can certainly agree w\ Lanny... :) ...and\or Stephanie w\ that funny comment she made... *rolls eyes* *GRINS* :)
