I am an artist (painter, draughtsman, sculpture), a creative person, an addict (in recovery), a faithful servant of God, a father and a soon to be husband.
As you have read in my blog, I have suffered and triumphed. None of my triumphs, successes, or anything good in my life would be possible without God. I have put my life in his hands because I am not strong enough to handle life without him.
I will be baptised on Saturday April 7. I will no longer be an elect. God has chosen me for this conversion. I'm pretty excited. I have considered my self Christain and saved for a while now but now I feel like I'm really going to know God and Jesus on a different level.
My school system is now blocking xianz because they think it is the new myspace. Well maybe it is but it's also a Christian fellowship. Because of this change I wont be around much. I hope you understand. You will always be in my thoughts and prayers. God Bless you all!
I beleive everybody is entitled to beleive what they want to. I chose to be Christian and the Path I chose to Christ is the Catholic Church. I feel attacked by people who say that Cathoilics are not Christian. That's interesting since we are saved by the same God and The son of God is Our savior. This type of retoric against Catholicism is the same type of narrow minded views that brought us the Holocaust, the KKK and other hateful groups. Oddly enough this seems to be an excepted prejudice in America now despite that all Christian denominations came from the Catholic Church. My argument is that if Catholics are not Christians then the first Christians came from the Reformation instead of the Apostles.
I started putting my thoughts together about my faith, the Christian faith, to help those struggling with it. I'm still new at it myself but I'm learning from some pretty smart people. I also wonder if people who do claim to be Christian really understand what it is to love God and to be Christian. We can over complicate our faith by over analyzing things and over interpreting the Bible and Traditions.
The main point to be Christian you have to believe that:
Jesus is the Son of God.
He was both totally human and totally divine.
He was completely free of sin.
He died to save us from sin.
To get to heaven you must believe in and Love God. But how do we do that?
How do you love a God you cannot see? The only way is to love gods children, all of them. You cannot hate any human. How can you be Christian and hate, neglect or ignore other humans? Jesus didn't. He didn't spend all his time with believers who loved him. He spent time with those who were considered the lowest class of people on the planet. That's what we must do too. St. Francis is a great model of what it is to love God and to be Christian.
How do we get to Heaven? Well we must love God and believe in Jesus as I have stated above. While we all sin and sinning pulls us away from God we are not lost. God is still not going to let us go no matter how hard we try. God does not damn us to Hell for sin. The only way to get to Hell is if we chose not to be saved.
