Accord Ministries is excited to announce that Of One Accord has been named the 2008 Group Of The Year by the South Texas Gospel Music Association. The announcement was released during the Association’s annual convention on March 8. Joe Gordon, producer of Mesquite’s Rodeo City Gospel Show, said, “I want to congratulate of One Accord on their award. As the producer, of it’s been my pleasure to have the group sing on several occasions. I would recommend them to any pastor, church, music minister, or other gospel show.”
John Graves, Vice President for Accord Ministries, added, “We are honored the Association’s members gave this award to us. It is a privilege to share the Gospel at every church and concert in which we sing. We will strive to fulfill the standards for which this award was given.”

Of One Accord blends the sweet-sounding harmonies of good old-fashioned southern gospel music with a contemporary feeling to make each concert a musical experience. From old standards like Step Into The Water and Hide Thou Me to a host of new music, this quartet has a message in song for everyone.
Since its inception, the quartet has appeared in many churches, gospel festivals and home-goings, as well as stage appearances at SGM Fan Fair and in many National Quartet Convention showcases. They can be heard on radio stations across the country, and in 2006, they released their first national single, Raging Seas, on the Millenium compilation.
The quartet shares a deep love of southern gospel music and wants to share the timeless message found in these rich harmonies that impact their lives each day. With a rich diversity in backgrounds and sounds reminiscent of The Cathedrals and the Statesmen quartets, the combination of all four voices blended together in tight harmonies has audiences sitting on the edge of their seats. This quartet truly has a sound unique in today's Southern Gospel music industry.
The group makes its home in Frisco, Texas, just north of Dallas. Baritone-vocalist David McMahon and bass-vocalist Darrin Bruner co-founded the group in 2004 to reach the lost and encourage believers through the ministry of southern gospel music and their personal testimonies. Within a month, they added lead-vocalist John Graves. Our newest member to the quartet is Ben Posey from McKinney, Texas. Keep reading our website in the coming months to learn more about Ben.
