Hello Everyone.It looks like its going to be a very rainy day here in good ole Southern Indiana.
I want to talk to you about O.P.E.C. and Big Oil Companies in the USA. Oil has long been a precious commodity in the USA. Here in Indiana, we saw gasoline as high as a whopping $ 4.35 a gallon.
Oil prices then strarted to fall little by little towards the end of 2008.After the Financial Meltdown, oil prices crashed ,eventually dropping to a round $35.00 a barrel.All the O.P.E.C. countries were seeking every way imaginable to get the price back up. But their efforts were to no avail.
Today, the price of crude is right at $40.00 a barrel.With the price of crude oil in the $35 - $40 range our prices at the pump should be around $1.20 - $1.25 per gallon of gasoline ! But wait, here in Southern Indiana we are still paying $1.80 - $2.00 per gallon, depending on what station you go to.
When the oil markets fluctuate and go down over lets say a 3 day period, the consumer doesnt the see the price at the pump come down. But , just recently on the first word of the Israel - Palestinian conflict the price shot back up very quickly!!We the American consumer are being ripped off very bad.
In closing I believe it is time we stood up to these bully oil companies!!
