 Hello! Thank you very much for visiting my humble blog. My name is Katrina and I am a student of the Class of 2008 at Seton Hall University in South Orange, NJ, U.S.A. I am a Roman Catholic, avid admirer of the Dominican (Order of Preachers) charism, & a major in Political Science. In April 2006, the spring of my sophomore year, I went through a jolting conversion in which I realized that my true vocation at the moment was to be a student-- beforehand, I never really understood it until God made me realize, by making other people His instruments, that the best way I could serve Him was through my schoolwork... first and foremost before other apostolates, I needed to serve Him in that. He showed me that He wanted me to concentrate on developing my mind, and in honing loves that had been put on the backburner because of other apostolates: philosophy, learning, Catholic culture and intellectual tradition, the study of truth as related to the Truth, the life of the mind.
From this stems a new desire to write better, and so in order to motivate myself to do so, I started up this blog. I am not a natural writer, so this will be a welcome challenge. While I am uncertain of how much personal commentary I'll be doing regarding my own daily life, musings on the world, issues, & philosophy will be blogged. Occasionally, I may comment on other blogs, and I hope to regularly post formal pieces of writing regarding topics I'm interested in. Postings will be every week during the weekend (i.e., Thurs-Sun). Please feel free to comment away on the content and grammar of my posts! I would be very grateful for it.

O Lord, how beautiful it is to walk with the Church and pray with the Church during the commeration of your Passion.... Here, I can see the germination of Unity..... I felt a powerful solidarity.....I felt that, we are walking with You.....

But thats not the point of this entry.
I gtg do schooling before i head to Adoration, but just wanted to say: I have not been taking care of myself lately, especially as regards to my teeth and sleep. Ex: I've been brushing my teeth 1x a day.
But I'm trying to pick up my prayer life. Going to Adoration fro a full hour and then Night Prayer tonight. That's an improvement.
