We are in no way connected to DittyTalk.com, but we really like it and it seems like a great choice for Christians to meet online. The content is clean and the people friendly. It is also a safe place for younger kids who are restricted on MySpace. Consider joining, it is free, and ... the more the merrier. I know this is a competing (sort of) network, but Ditty Talk seems better suited to younger users and their TOS allows people younger than MySpace. I spent a lot of time researching from the Word of God what it means to serve in the military. Here in England during the First and Second World Wars, people prayed for soldiers, today though, some Christians seem to have mixed ideas about what and for whom they should pray. So I can see how some Christians might do a double-take at my artwork for those serving in the Armed Forces. The morning after the authorities foiled the plot to blow up airliners, I prayed Psalm 91 over our national and local Police Force (1 Timothy 2: 1-3) in a prayer meeting. Afterwards a man then prayed for the terrorists. We are supposed to pray for others to come to the knowledge of the truth, but he threw in how we were praying for them 'not because we don't want to get blown up...' and I felt as though he was disparaging the prayer I had just prayed. God's will is for our covenant protection. And being persecuted for the sake of the Gospel is not the same as lying down to get run over for the sake of something else! I think the influence of the 'Peace Movement' has confused Christians in my country, at least from my experience. But the Bible says we have the Armed Forces for our good (Romans 13:3-4). Plus oftentimes we all need to see the 'bigger picture' and if the only picture we're getting is from the news media, then that's bad news for a Christian. I’m an English guy, brought up in a denominational church who watches and supports American ‘televangelists’. It turns out that TV preachers like Kenneth and Gloria Copeland (that the secular media and some internet websites come against) teach simple Bible truths which are backed up by the anointing; and they don’t confuse what the Word of God says with made-up theology (1 Corinthians 2:4-5). I’m an artist and a writer – www.douglasrickard.com – but my support in prayer and in giving makes me a part of Kenneth Copeland Ministries’ good work and preaching of the gospel of my Lord Jesus around the world (Matthew 10:40-42). I’ve never had my arm twisted to donate money either. And Ephesians 4:16 says that I’m going to be getting the anointing that’s on my pastor and on Kenneth Copeland Ministries working in my life too, to help me in every area... and that’s why my sharing about my business and life in my blog has so much extra power to it!
