Hi. My name is Joe. I am a husband, father, musician, and follower of Jesus. Ever since my life-changing experience, I have embarked on a journey proclaiming the good news of Jesus Christ! Beginning my ministry at the early age of 15, I have evangelized in America and overseas. I believe it is my responsibility to point others to Christ because in a sense, I have the cure for AIDS. I have a treasure and I want to share it with the world. For more information about my ministry, go to: www.LifeChangingMinistriesPA.org.
I started going to church when I was five years old. I raised my hand during the service in order to accept Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior, but at that time, I did not know what I had done. As a result, I grew up to be a drug addict, alcoholic, vandal, and thief. I was a very selfish, rebellious, and disobedient individual. God was not prevalent in my daily lifestyle and I had very little love in my heart. If it were not for the day I almost died, I would have never opened my eyes and wanted to turn my life around… It was September 24, 1996 when tragedy struck. It was around 6:00 PM, it was getting dark, and it was raining. I was riding my bike down Old Bridge Rd. in Brielle, NJ heading towards Highway 35. I began to cross the highway, but when I was about ten feet from the other side, a car doing around sixty miles per hour hit me. I was thrown from my bike and landed about twenty feet from the place where I was hit. All the traffic stopped! The car was totally smashed in and the front hood was literally compressed into the back seat. Blood was everywhere as my limp and unconscious body lay in the middle of the intersection. Thank God, my neighbor was driving by and saw me get hit by the car. Immediately, she ran over to my severely injured body and proceeded to clear my air passages because I was choking on my blood. In addition, an off duty ambulance from Jersey Shore Trauma Center drove by just seconds after I was hit. Their EMT put me on oxygen and rushed me over to their trauma unit. While in the hospital, the doctors “attempted” to save my life. I was in a coma for two weeks and was completely unrecognizable. My nose was literally smashed into my face and my right eye was cut so badly the physicians believed I had lost it. My mouth and lips were demolished and I had reconstructive surgery to correct the damage to my face. I was given a quart of blood and was kept alive on life-support. The surgeons performed a tracheotomy surgery to my throat and implanted a gastro-feeding tube in my stomach. With just a one percent chance of survival and having three hemorrhages in my brain, my parents were told I would die. However, fourteen days later, despite the doctor’s analysis, God allowed me to survive. I ended up staying at Jersey Shore Trauma Center for sixteen days. I then transferred to a rehabilitation facility for about a year. While there, I went through all kinds of rehabilitation. I learned to walk, talk, eat, and bathe all over again. I put in perspective what it was like to be disabled. Within a short period of time after I was released from the hospital, I realized the amazing work that God had done in my life and dedicated my entire existence to Him. At this point, I accepted His priceless gift of salvation and chose to enter a life of happiness with Jesus Christ. For this reason, I have obtained the best gift anyone could receive. Hopefully, you have received this great gift too! Since my initial point of salvation, I have been spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ on an over-time basis. Ever since ‘98, I have traveled as a missionary, preacher, and evangelist. During this time, I intervened in the lives of numerous children, youth, and adults. Though I am not a professional in the world’s definition of the word (I do not have my doctorate, I have not been working in my occupational field for over 30 years, I am not over the age of 50, etc.), I have conducted numerous church services, outreach programs, therapeutic groups, counseling sessions, and Christian classes. I believe it is my responsibility to point others to Christ because in a sense, I have the cure for AIDS. I have a treasure and I want to share it with the world. I want to assist others in their search for the Truth. Today, I am the pastor of Life Changing Ministries, which is located in Marietta, PA. This ministry exists to make fully devoted Disciples of Christ. We teach biblical principles and expect lasting results. We strive to make the road to Christ meaningful, rewarding, and enjoyable! For more information, please go to: www.LifeChangingMinistriesPA.org “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 6:23). “For God so loved the world that he gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16). “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God, not by works so that no man can boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9).
