Matthew 13:31-32 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, 'The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field: Which indeed in the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof.'
All too often, people tackle things that are too big for them. They try to give up everything at once, hoping to see change in a short period of time. Usually, that won't work. We should learn that the greatest successes come in small steps. We need to set modest goals that we can handle, so we don't get discouraged. God blesses our small efforts, for they are usually the most sincere and realistic. Ask God's guidance, and He will grant you exactly the right amount of strength you need to triumph.
Today's thought: Giving up a little at a time will keep me from giving up altogether!
I am working as a Rehab tech. I am single and loving life.I am easy going, but a perfectionist with myself. I give relationships my all. I love my dogs. I have 4. I walk them everyday, unless it is raining. That is Dakota in the first picture. Gracie in the second pic. Gracie was saved by grace because she was going to be youthinized the next day when My mom got her. She wasn't even looking for a dog. She was with my aunt who was looking and she feel in love with her. Then there is Molly who I rescued. And last but least Lucy who has brought us so much joy and also rescued.
Family is very important to me. I have never been married nor do I have any kids. I wouldn't mind having kids with the right person. I don't smoke. I have a strong believe in Jesus Christ. I love to have fun, go to church, go to the movies, or out to eat. I love to cook, read, take a drive, watch TV or play online. Oh yeah and I love the color purple if you can't tell, lol. I am a night owl, and I work nights. I can go out or stay at home and both is ok to me. Honesty is very important to me. I like someone who will not change, but be consistent. I am old fashion in my beliefs, lol. Ask me what ever you want to know. My yahoo ID is my email address which is. For some reason my computer blocker doesn't open the IM on Xianz but my computer will allow yahoo or email me. Hope to hear from you and learn about you.
Ok I have been gone a while. Life can throw some hard curve balls but I have learned to lean into the Lord to hit back. About 7 weeks ago I took one of my dogs to the vet. Her name was Sasha (Shar pei). He said she had cancer. He told me to take her home and spoil her, and that is what I did. She left us on 7-2-2007. She was apart of our family for 9 years. I know not everyone is an animal lover so I am sure they don't understand. It is hard to loose a pet. So if you have been wondering where oh where I have been, I have been dealing with life. Please don't forget me when I not on here. I have missed you all. GBU!
Matthew 14:31 And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, 'O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?'
Peter asked the Lord to allow him to walk on the water. Seeing his Master walking on the waves caused Peter to wish to do likewise. However, once he began his walk, he found himself sinking and afraid. What did the Lord do at this sign of unbelief? Did He allow Peter to sink? Of course not! So long as Jesus is nearby, we need never fear for our lives. Jesus Christ reaches out His hand to us when we get in over our heads. Though He wants us to develop unshakable faith, He is forgiving and loving, and He lifts us up when we are too weak to stand up on our own.
Today's thought: Thank the Lord that Christ holds me up when I'm most down!
1 John 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
When Jesus faced the devil in the wilderness, He was weak and hungry. He had fasted long and hard, and He would have given anything to be able to break that fast. Bread is a great temptation to a starving man. Yet, Jesus refused to give in to the temptations of the devil. No matter how enticing Satan was, Jesus was able to resist him. By resisting the devil, Jesus overcame him, and in so doing, He overcame the world and all it could offer Him. We, too, can overcome the world by having faith in the One who has already triumphed. No temptation on earth can bring us down, because we follow the One who overcame the whole world.
Today's thought: I will turn to Jesus whenever I need a faith lift!
praying that God will bless you and your loved ones this christmas season, and I pray that God will use you greatly to reach lost souls for him to make you a blessing so you can bless others,in the mighty name of Jesus I pray amen!
