Jesus was a normal man. How can you call Him God?
Every human in this world, die one day. But Jesus was
raised back on the third day of his death (LK 24:6).
A normal man cannot rise again after his death. Jesus
lead a life without even a small sin (Jn 8:46). He
was testified as guiltless by Pilate the officer who
enquired Him (Lk 23:4, 14, 22). Jesus was witnessed
as a sinless person by his own apostles (1 Pet 2:22).
Today can anyone say that he has not done even a
single sin? Can any pre-eminent scholars, reformers
or leaders say that they are guiltless? Jesus walked
on the water like dry ground (Mat 14:25).
Jesus penetrated the closed room and entered in (Jn 20:19).
He was disappeared when the Pharisees tried to arrest
Him, before the appointed time (Jn 8:59). A normal
man cannot say, “Where two or three are gathered
together in My name, I am there in the midst of them”?
(Mat 18:20) and “I am with you always even to the end
of the age” (Mat 28:20). You cannot look at a normal
man and say, “Now we are sure that You know all things
and have no need that anyone should question You. By
this we believe that You came forth from God”. (Jn
16:30). A normal man cannot say, “All authority has
been given to Me in heaven and on earth (Mat 28:18).
No so-called ‘gods’ can say, “I am He who lives and
was dead and behold, I am alive forevermore” (Rev.
1:18).
No leader can convert the water into wine. We
can go on telling like this. God can do any thing
other than committing sins. Can we ask God whether He
can be manifested in flesh? Who has known the mind of
the Lord that he may instruct Him? (1 Cor 2:16), Who
has become his counselor? (Rom 11:34). Can man decide
how God must be? I am not trying to justify one ‘god’
beheading the other “small god” and ‘god’ doing
eve-teasing the girls who are taking bath. Our God is
in heaven. He does whatever He pleases (Ps 115:3).
The history would not have been divided into two as AD
and BC if Jesus were a normal man.
Be Ready always to answer with meekness and reverence to people, who inquire about our faith. 1 Peter 3:15
2. If Jesus is God how He can be killed?
a) Even before Jesus was actually arrested, they
tried to catch Him. The Scripture says that He
disappeared (Jn 8:59, 12:36). Jesus could have
disappeared similarly even at Gethsemane where He was
arrested. But, Jesus Christ voluntarily submitted
Himself for crucifixion, because God the Father wished
to bring salvation to the sinners and acquit them
through the crucifixion (Lev 17:11, Heb 9:22, Rev 1:6,
Acts 20:28, 1 Tim 1:15, Rom 5:8, 1 Pet 1:19). Pilate
the governor said to Jesus, “Do You not know that I
have power to crucify You and power to release You?”.
Jesus answered, “You could have no power at all
against Me unless it had been given you from above”
(Jn 19:10,11). What a great personality is Jesus! His
death was not something accidental. It was purely
prophetical.
b) Jesus told “Therefore My Father loves Me, because
I lay down My life that I may take it again. No one
takes it from Me, but, I lay it down of Myself. I
have power to lay it down and have power to take it
again. This command I have received from My Father”
(Jn 10:17,18). Please understand the supernatural
personality of Jesus.
c) When the soldiers came to arrest Jesus, Peter, one
among the disciples of Jesus, pulled his sword from
him and cut off the ear of a servant of the chief
priest. Immediately Jesus said to him, “Put your
sword in its place, for all who take the sword will
perish by the sword, or do you think that I cannot now
pray to My Father, and He will provide Me with 12
legions of angles? How then could the scriptures be
fulfilled, that it must happen thus?” (Mat 26:51-54).
Please notice the superiority of Jesus.
d) Nothing would happen without the knowledge of
Jesus. He is ominiscient (Jn 16:30).
1. Jesus foretold that Judas Iscariot would betray
Him.
Now as they sat and ate, Jesus said, “Assuredly I say
to you one of you who eats with Me will betray Me (Mk
14:18).
2. Jesus prophesied that Peter would deny Him. Jesus
said to him (Peter),
“Assuredly, I say to you that today even this night,
before the rooster crows twice, you will deny Me three
times (Mk 14:30).
3. Jesus predicted the day and the time of His arrest.
Jesus said to them, “All of you will be made to
stumble because of Me this night, for it is written,
“I will strike the Shepherd and the sheep will be
scattered” (Mk 14:27, Mat 20:18,19).
4. Jesus foretold that He would be arrested, and
crucified and resurrected on the third day.
“Behold we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of
Man will be betrayed to the chief priests and to the
scribes, and they will condemn Him to death, and
deliver Him to the Gentiles to mock and to scourge and
to crucify. And the third day He will rise gain (Mat
20:18,19).
5. When they came to arrest Him, they drew back by His
power and fell to the ground (Jn 18:6)
6. Jesus envisaged that all His disciples will leave
Him alone.
“Indeed, the hour is coming, yes, has now come, that
you will be scattered, each to his own and will leave
Me alone. And yet I am not alone, because the Father
is with Me (Jn 16:32).
7. Jesus foretold that He would undergo that painful
ldeath because of the pre-determination of God (Lk
22:22).
8. Prophet Daniel prophesied that Christ would be
crucified (Dan 9:26)
3. Hospitals are not needed if Jesus can heal the
sick?
You cannot reach the destination where you want to
go unless you get into any bus, even if one thousand
buses are parked in a bus station. The success is
confident for a hard working student. What is the use
in regretting for the failure in studies because of
laziness and drowsiness! We can enjoy a particular
program in the radio only when we tune it to that
particular wavelength and frequency. What is the
reason there is no water in the house, in
spite of having continuous rain? The rainwater was
not carefully collected. Similarly, Jesus will never
leave nor forsake the one who trusts in Him. He said,
“I will not leave you nor forsake you (Josh 1:5). The
Bible teaches that whoever believes on Him will not be
put to shame (Rom 10:11, Is 28:16). God has told
commonly to all, “Ask and that will be given (Mat
7:7). Jesus promised, “If you believe, you will see
the glory of God” (Jn 11:40). The people of His own
village could not inherit any miracle, because they
did not believe in Him (Mat 13:58). The inner side of
a stone is still dry even after socking it for many
years in water. Why? The hardness is the only
reason. An artist looks at a wooden piece as an
aesthetic art. But the same wooden peace is seen as
firewood in the sight of a woman who went to the
forest to collect firewood. Jesus was useless for
the people, who looked at Jesus like a carpenter.
Those who found Jesus as the Son of God, received
miracles. Consider that one preacher is disseminating
the gospel in the street corner. One listener is
mocking at the preacher. The other one received the
word with full heart and was delivered from his sinful
life. For indeed the gospel was preached to us as
well as to them, but the word, which they heard, did
not profit them, not being mixed with faith to those
who heard it (Heb 4:2). Two men are receiving their
wages from a factory. One man extravagantly spends
all his money in drinking and gets into sickness and
at last he dies. But the other man builds a new house
and purchases a vehicle within that money. Money
becomes a poison to one man, and a ladder that lifts
the life to the other man. Can we denounce money?
The matter is contained in how we look at the money.
Similarly, Jesus is a good God for all. He told. “I
will by no means cast out the one who comes to Me (Jn
6:37). How sweet is Jesus who says, “I am the Good
Shepherd: The Good Shepherd gives His life for His
sheep (Jn 10:11). Jesus also says, “You do not
believe, because you are not of My sheep (Jn 10:26).
We must obey to him for He should convert the water
into wine (Jn 2:5). He commanded the servants to fill
the jars with water. They obeyed with faith. They
did not interrogate and argue. When Jesus came near
the tomb of Lazarus, and asked those who were near, to
remove the stone kept to close the tomb, they obeyed
with anticipation. By seeing their faith, Lazarus was
resurrected. Elisha told Naman to dip himself into
the river of Jordan 7 times. He was not healed till
he was questioning and hesitating. The miracle took
place when he obeyed. I can quote hundreds of
examples from the scripture Jesus cannot do any
miracles in the lives of people who keep the name of
Jesus in the list of leaders like Buddha and Gandhi.
He is more than a leader. We cannot receive anything
from Jesus unless you understand Him as the sovereign
God. When Jesus was living in the world in flesh,
many mocked at Him as mad (Jn 10:20). But how they
might have looked at Him, when he resurrected the dead
daughters of the widow of the city of Nain! After the
resurrection of Jesus, the disciples were walking on
the road to Emmans. Jesus was also along with them
without their knowledge. He was misunderstood as a
sojourner to them. But when their eyes were opened,
they know Him as the Lord (Lk 23:31). In the same
way, let us know Jesus more and be uplifted. He who
trusts in the Lord will be prospered (Prov 28:25).
Please read (Heb 11:6).
4. How do you say that Jesus is still alive? Jesus said, “I am He who lives and was dead, and
behold, I am alive forevermore” (Rev 1:18). Paul said,
“If Christ is not risen, then our preaching is vain
and your faith is also vain” (Cor 15:14). Jews told
“We have heard from the law that the Christ remains
forever” (Jn 12:34). Jesus told. “Where two or three
are gathered together is My name, I am there in the
midst of them” (Mat 18:20). He also said, “I am with
you always even to the end of the age” Mat 38:20).
These verses reveal the endlessness of Jesus. We
confirm that the eternity of Jesus through the
incredible and irrefutable miracles, which are
happening today in the name of Jesus. Today the
sinners and terrorists who are abandoned by the
society are transformed as exemplary citizens thro’
Jesus.
5. If Jesus is the only way to heaven, where the
people who were dead before Him and who were dead
without knowing Him will go?
For until the law sin was in the world, but sin is
not imputed when there is no law (Rom 5:13). The
period before the law which was given in the hands of
Moses, was the period of acting according to the
conscience whether good or bad. The people who were
belonging to that period would be saved, if they did
not transgress their conscience. For when Gentiles,
who do not have the law by nature do the things
contained in the law, these, although not having the
law are a law to themselves, who show the work of the
law written in their hearts, their conscience also
bearing witness, and between themselves their thoughts
accusing or else excusing them (Rom 2:14-15). But if
one’s conscience accuses him as guilty, and if he does
before knowing Christ, the salvation would be far from
him. Paul says, “I would not have known sin except
thro’ the law had said. ‘You shall not covet’. I was
alive once without the law, but when the commandment
came, sin revived and I died (Rom 7:7,9). One person
can’t be saved, if he has the knowledge, what is right
and wrong, and still his sins are not forgiven by the
blood of Jesus. Jesus said, “If I had not come and
spoken to them, they would have no sin; but now they
have no excuse for sin. If I had not done among them
the works, which no one else did, they would have no
sin. But now, they have seen and also hated both Me
and My Father (Jn 15:22,24). From the above verses,
we understand that God would not ask any thing from
whom He has not given any thing. He is a righteous
God. Jesus said, “He who did not know, yet committed
things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few.
For everyone whom much is given, from him much will be
required and to whom much has been committed of him
they will ask the more (Lk 12:48). Paul Says, “Truly
these times of ignorance God over looked, but now
commands all man every where to repent (Acts 17:30).
So, let us not be bothered about the dead and be alert
about the living. How unsearchable are His judgments!
(Rom 11:33). Jesus Christ has the full authority and
responsibility of judging the world in the last day
(Jn 5:22). But He never judged anyone when he was in
flesh (Jn 12:47). Similarly let us not judge anybody
henceforth.
6. we do not come to you and say to be converted. But
why do you convert us?
This is a good question. It may not be your religious
law to promulgate your religion. But the Bible
teaches every followers of Christ to disseminate the
truth of Jesus. Jesus, said “Go therefore and make
disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the
name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy
Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I
have commanded you (Mat 28:19,20). Paul says, “For if
I preach the gospel, I have nothing to boast of, for
necessity is laid upon me, yes, woe is me if I don’t
preach the gospel” (1 Cor 9:16). Paul also exhorts,
“Preach the word. Be ready in season and out of
season (2 Tim 4:2). Peter said, “You are a chosen
generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation. His
own special people, that you may proclaim the praises
of Him, who called you out of darkness into his
marvelous light (1 Pet 2:9). Jesus told, “You shall
receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you,
and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in
all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth
(Aets 1:8). From the above
illustrative verses we understand that all the
disciples, who follow Jesus must propagate the gospel.
Jesus told, “When you have returned to me, strengthen
your brethren (Lk 22:32). It is not changing the
religion, but changing the mind. Please read Lk
24:47.
7. Cannot our gods take us to heaven?
In fact you are asking a jovial question. I am
sorry to disclose a secret that, even your gods cannot
go to heaven. How can the heaven accept the sinners,
who were addicted to stealing, murder, adultery,
cheating, licentiousness, inebriation etc? You are
aware of who did what sins.
8. Christianity is a foreign religion. Why do you
spread in India?
To-day, the Clock, Mobile Phone, Computer, heater,
TV, Washing Machine, Cooker, Fan, Fridge, Air
conditioner, Car Mixie, Grinder, bi-cycle, motor Bike,
Pen, what you use are not invented in India. If you
go to a hospital, all the equipments the doctor is
using are found out in foreign countries. Aeroplane,
Train, helicopter, and many more are not found out in
India. Are we not inevitably using them? When we
watch WIN TV, we come across a Tamil Program, “Come
let us speak in Tamil”. I was shocked to see how much
our Tamilians in Dubai are suffering to speak in Tamil
for 2 minutes continuously. To that extend, Indians
are addicted to English. Is it not a foreign
language? Don’t we use it? Our students go to
foreign countries for their higher studies. Many
Indians are working abroad and even marry foreigners.
Can an average Indian pass one day without a single
English word? You are asking this great question when
you are educating your children in English medium,
which is a foreign language. If you go to a village
and say the Tamil term, of ‘car’ in which you
traveled, the villagers of India will laugh at you.
Those people will understand only when you say ‘Car’
or ‘Taxi’. Are the Coat, Pants, Tie etc. you wear
Indian dresses? Can you show me some Indians with the
spirit of nationality who may ask for Mobile Phone,
Paint or Cement in their regional Indian languages.
Can you tell me the Indian word for Cricket? In this
pathetic situation, how can we hate Christianity as a
foreign stuff? The Bible does not lead a person to
wrong ways. I can confidently declare that police
stations are not needed if every citizen of India
would accept Jesus Christ as his personal saviour.
This world will be like heaven. Take the truth and
best from whatever you hear from anyone.
