Hey all, the Christmas shopping season has officially begun for some. What better gift can you give than the gift of literature?! (Okay, as a writer I guess I'm sort of impartial) Well, I've updated my blog with reviews of some great books. Whether you're looking for something for the kids or adults, there's a little bit of something for everyone. Please stop by my blog and leave your comments today (the authors have a habit of stopping by to hear what everyone has to say about their stories!).
I was born and raised in rural Pennsylvania. I began writing short novels in grade school for personal enjoyment as well as my friends' and continued developing that passion through high school years, earning a Summer Scholars scholarship to the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown and took An Introduction to Literature writing course. I liked UPJ so much, I returned for four years.
I studied English Education with a concentration in British Literature. I studied creative and fiction writing courses as well as conducted an independent study on Women and Dementia in the 19th Century.
Since graduating Magna Cum Laude, I have worked during the day while honing a literary craft at night. I have also fronted a local Christian rock band, served on a church Executive Board and continued to gather the experiences that helped birth When Nightmares Walk. I currently participate in a lot of Chrisitian critique groups and online fellowships and am working to secure a literary agent and publisher.
I am married and have two wonderful boys (9 and 5).
Concentration in British Literature; Tae Kwan Do, American Kenpo, a little Brazilian Jujitsu

Hell all, thanks to everyone who has been praying for me. I've been swamped and haven't been on Xianz much lately, but I wanted to say thanks.
As for what's been going on... well, I'm waiting to hear back from the publishers. I'm very excited knowing that my book is out there and I keep praying that God has His way.
During the last few months, I was involved in a major project with the Xianz writing group. We spent several months working over some short stories that have been compiled into an anthology due to hit stores in February. Light at the Edge of Darkness is a Speculative Fiction anthology full of everything from Horror to SciFi to Fantasy, etc... that all glorifies God. I'll put up some links when it's available.
Summer's come to an end, school's back in sesson, scouts have started up again, Awanas have started up again...lots to do. I'll make sure and say hi a little more often and thanks again for your prayers.
Yesterday afternoon, I shipped out 5 copies of my complete fiction proposal and sample chapters to my agent. He is sending them off to five of the industry's biggest publishers. This has been a very exciting 24 hours for me, so please keep me in your prayers. Basically, from here, if a publisher expresses interest, my agent would send them the complete manuscript. If they like that, it's contract and publication. So, the Lord has seen me over a big hump (getting an agent to represent the work) and is helping me onto the next stage. I'll keep trusting in His timing and praying for His will to be done. Please remember me in your prayers!
If you're starting your Christmas shopping early or are in the mood for a good read, be sure to check out T.L. Hines' Waking Lazarus. You can find it at amazon.com, at your local Christian bookstore, or through T.L.'s official website http://www.tlhines.com
This story is about a man who dies not one, not two, but three times and comes back. Changing his life and hiding from the media attention, the main character ends up in a twisted battle to uncover a new mystery plaguing their community and understand his strange resurrections.
I'm looking for readers and fans of Christian fiction who are interested in helping an aspiring novelist succeed. All you have to do is visit http://www.danieliweaver.com and join The Gifted! That's it. All of the details are on the website and it doesn't cost you a penny!

Hi Daniel -
We haven't connect much lately on Xianz - I hope you are well!
I wanted to let you know that my new book has been released. "How Do You Know He's Real: God Unplugged" was written specifically for youth. If you know someone who questions the existence of God or who is a believer who just needs a little inspiration, you might want to check it out at www.hesreal.com.
Give me a shout and let me know how things are going for you!
